What Is a Dental Emergency?
Dental emergencies include uncontrollable pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, or accidents.
A permanent or temporary crown or bridge falling off does not constitute an extreme emergency. Please refer to your Home-Care instructions for the appropriate solution.

Emergency Services
Very often, dental pain is caused by an infected tooth nerve. In these cases, to relieve pain as quickly as possible we offer a special service called "open and med." The entire procedure usually takes 5 to 10 minutes and gets you feeling back to normal, pain free, immediately.

The "open and med" treatment is a temporary treatment meant to last no longer than a week or two. Definitive treatment (for example: a root canal and crown) must follow soon after the "open and med" procedure.
