What is a Dental Emergency?
Dental emergencies include
uncontrollable pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, or accidents.
A permanent or temporary
crown or bridge falling off does not constitute an extreme
emergency. Please refer to your Home-Care
instructions for the appropriate solution.
What should I Do if I Have
an Emergency?
Emergency Services
Very often, dental pain is caused
by an infected tooth nerve. In these cases, to relieve pain as
quickly as possible we offer a special service called "open and med."
The entire procedure usually takes 5 to 10 minutes and gets you feeling
back to normal, pain free, immediately.
The "open and med" treatment
is a temporary treatment meant to last no longer than a week or two.
Definitive treatment (for example: a root canal and crown) must
follow soon after the "open and med" procedure.
